Wilderness Rite of Passage Immersions
Participants will engage in various mindfulness-based activities that encourage self- reflection, community building, and knowledge of the natural world. These immersions hold space for discussions and activities centered around the intersections of race, class, gender, and identity in an effort to address the long history of inequality within the environmental field, and the increasing barriers these communities face when seeking uplifting outdoor spaces. Our Rite of Passage immersions focus on reclaiming an ancestral relationship to land and place that is integral to one's sense of self and responsibility to the natural world. It is a time to simply just be, and enjoy the wonders of nature with a community of QTBIPOC folks.
